Over the past few weeks, we’ve been sharing a series of preview articles from our “What to tax?” publication, and we are pleased to share the full publication, available now. I want to extend my personal thanks to all of the contributors for their time, thinking and writing, as well as to all of you who continue to weigh in and add to the discussion online and through social media.
What to Tax? brings multiple answers and multifaceted views to topical questions about what we need from our tax systems in an increasingly global, digital world. This publication convenes different voices — both from KPMG and from a wide range of specialists in other areas of society — from business leaders to academics to NGOs. The result is a piece that brings together more than 15 perspectives on important topics related to tax.
I believe this multifaceted discourse is crucial in establishing a productive and responsible narrative about the future of taxation. Together, these views can shape one another and reveal new insights that can help inform policymakers as they think through the challenges and possibilities for tax systems and how to evolve them to meet the social and economic needs of today.
You can download the full report here or you can view the individual digital articles posted throughout this site.
We continue to invite ongoing dialogue and article contributions here on the Responsible Tax site — a community of several hundred people that continues to grow. We also welcome suggestions and ideas for future collaborative publications like this one.
