Abdulkadir started his career as Tax Inspector in 1989 and worked for the Ministry of Finance till November of 1999. After the Ministry of Finance, he joined Deloitte Turkey in 1999 and worked as team leader in Financial Services Industry untill 2006. In 2006, he worked as coordinator for the Auditing Group of Koç Holding in charge of tax consultancy for the group companies especially for financial industry. He joined KPMG since February 2007 and he has been appointed the Head of Tax in KPMG Turkey since May 2010.

Over the last 14 years, Abdulkadir Kahraman has specialized in Financial Services Industry. He has deep technical expertise in related tax areas of Financial Services including Transfer Pricing and Tax Controversy. He also has broad experience in the taxation of capital gains from money and capital markets.

He demonstrates an understanding of accounting and legal issues and the business and economic environment that impact tax transactions. He seeks ways to apply knowledge and creatively interpret tax laws and regulations.

He is primarily responsible for delivery of both direct and indirect taxes affect the tax-efficiency of organizational and funds structures and advises on merger and acquisitions, restructuring and reorganizing businesses, Turkish tax rulings and tax controversy.

He is also co-author of the Book “Management Accounting” published by the Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants of Turkey.

His several articles, related to taxation of financial instruments, management practices and accounting have been published in various publications.
